A blanket for Project Snuggles. I’m close…so close…to being done with that green yarn.
Giving it a go again
I’m gearing up for a project that I’m pretty excited about. I tried to do this earlier this year, but my goals were too outrageous and it wasn’t planned enough. So here is the deal.
My project is called Crafting Against Cancer and Diabetes. My goal is to make 200 items for charity in 2010 (I made around 100 this year). If you think I can do it, sign on to be a pledger, and if I do succeed, I am asking that folks donate $25 to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. If you agree to pledge, I will make an item for a charity of your choice in your honor.
I am really excited about the prospect of raising funds for 2 causes close to my heart while continuing to make items for other charities I care about. I am hoping other crafters join me and get pledges of their own too because that would be really fun 🙂
I’ll keep things updated here so if you are interested in following along, well, this is the place to do it! Woohoo! 🙂
3 hats for a homeless shelter
and 2 more…hmm…
Tweet tweet to my face
Hi All,
I’ve started two different things for Homespun Helpers.
First, I’ve started a Facebook account for Homespun Helpers. We got a group going on Facebook but now that groups are way buried on people’s pages…it just doesn’t seem to be getting a whole lot of action. My hope is that by friending “Homespun” on Facebook, people in the group will also start to get to know each other a bit better and build some acquaintances that way.
I’ve also started a Twitter account. In addition to the occasional update on Homespun Helpers, I’m hoping to use this account to keep people posted on groups that need/want crafted items and links to info. @homespunhelpers is where to find me. Come join the fun! 🙂
