Book Review: Marketing Artificial Intelligence

Why read a book about AI that was published in 2022? It turns out I had a couple of reasons. First, I know who Paul Roetzer and Mike Kaput are NOW, but I didn’t know how they got here really. Second, the book asks a very good question. If you’re a marketer, how do you actually figure out how and where to use AI?
Yes, some of the information in the book is dated. A lot of the data is based on reports from 2021 or earlier. Many of the vendors mentioned probably don’t exist anymore. Four years in the past in the world of artificial intelligence is kind of like Pompeii is to us. Way back in 2023? I don’t even remember that year.
What the book establishes, however, is how to “chunk” what you do and how to look at each of those chunks through the lens of “how can AI help me with this?” In the case of marketing, the book covers everything from content creation, sales, customer service, and SEO to how to ensure you don’t lose the handle on your AI and tarnish your brand. I’d recommend purchasing the book and using it as a workbook, and then complementing the book with current information from https://www.marketingaiinstitute.com/ and the loads of other content Roetzer and Kaput create every week.
Have you read this book? I’d love to hear your thoughts about it!
