What do YOU want from 2012?

January 1, 2012 by Margie Clayman 14 Comments

A lot of people use this moment when the year is an infant to verbalize what they wish for themselves for the new year. And I could do that. One of my top wishes, for example, is to meet tons of people in person this year. It’s ridiculous to me, for example, that I’ve never been able to REALLY have a thumb war with Raul Colon. It seems outrageous that I’ve only met one person from my 12most.com family offline. How have I not met Jay Baer and Chris Brogan yet? I mean, that literally takes talent. And then there’s Cate, Brandie, Sherree…well, the list goes on and on. I want to travel to new places. I want to find out if I’m REALLY at risk for brain-eating ameobas if I use my netti pot. These things are pressing!

But I already know what I want from 2012, and I am not sure that my reporting it will necessarily do any good. So, I thought I would try something a little different. I thought I’d ask YOU what you want from this new year. What are you hoping to do? What are you working on?

And how can I help?

The world may not really end in 2012, but it’s as good of an excuse as any to live as if the world COULD end in 2012. Whatever you want…let’s get that done.

Happy New Year!

@jburdadams You’re already doing pretty well on 1 and 2 so far as I can tell. 3 is a great goal! 🙂 Happy New Year!

    Thumb-Wars, eh? Al-righty!

Margie, I don’t know… I live with a pretty heavy-duty fan of that Coast to Coast radio and that dude that “sees”… but really? I don’t think so. Aside from my belief that He wouldn’t permit it, I mean really! I have that really tight- stomach- anticipating- good feeling about 2012!

For me, I want the same I have been working towards and praying for… a bigger house (our Castle is on it’s 3rd year… of waiting to be finished) and to make my Dad proud…

I would LOVE to meet the folks I have met online!!

margieclayman Margie, my biggest goal for 2012 is to finish my book proposal and write the book. Of course what goes along with that are decisions around an agent, editor and publisher.

And if you are ever in No. CA let me know. We might have an opportunity to meet “for reals.” I’ll be in Philly in July. If you’re in that neck of the woods, we could meet there, too.

    Happy new year.

@shawmu Thanks Shawn. Man, 2012 is shaping up to be one exciting year for you! I’d love to meet ya, but Philly is probably more likely than NoCal. You never know though 🙂

Margie, I am very happy to declare that I don’t need anything. I am a happy guy. I have much of everything I could hope for in life. ALL I wish for is more of the same – especially good health. And, I’d love to meet more of the great people “I know” – like yourself – in person. Might mean going to more conventions which I’m sort of loathe to do unless I’m speaking. Anyway, Happy New Year MC!

Margie, I did a 12 things I wanted in 2012. Hitting the highlights, it is just love/serve more, promote Pulse Analytics as a social media monitoring tool along with Mantis as a solution provider, work on my judo and tennis games, drop about 10 lbs, and read some more great books.

And of course, reading great blog posts from my 12 Most / Triberr family 😉

Great thoughts, as always Margie, I had a pretty personally and spiritually satisfying end to the year. I hope to “keep that feeling alive” in 2012.
