How to Twitter

October 16, 2010 by Margie Clayman 17 Comments

Over the last week or so, I have become friends with @gagasgarden. Gaga is great because instead of just trying to figure out Twitter on her own, she is willing to ask questions, and great questions at that. As I have been trying to help this fine lady out, I have also had flashbacks to a few months ago when I was getting started, when I had all of the same questions Gaga has been asking me. There wasn’t really an easy-to-find resource that had all of the basic questions that I was finding horribly confusing. I was too shy to ask because I was just sure someone would make fun of me for not knowing this stuff. With that in mind, I put together this little presentation on some of the real basic steps involved in getting started on Twitter. I hope it helps! If you have any questions, just holler!

    Margie,
I was just going to send a message regarding professional Tweets versus private identities and this your Tweet and Video training is the very message that was up on Twtitter! Now I know you have ESP and are psychic and maybe I don’t have the IQ for Twitter! lol
Thanks so much for this training clip I have to watch it a couple more times!

Hmm. Your title is much better.

Maybe I’ll have you write my presentation titles from now on πŸ™‚

    Margie,

This is terrific. This is the kind of preso I would see my prior agency doing sometimes for corporate directors or what not (the ones who were clueless about social media). The difference is yours is more clear, and it’s more detailed, which is what makes it stand out for me.

    Great job.

Well thanks, Cristian. As soon as I finished I kept thinking, “Oh man…I should have talked about that. I should have talked about this.” Oh well. Glad it “reads” well πŸ™‚

    Hi Margie,
Thank you for putting this video together. Where were you three months ago?! πŸ™‚ I sure could have used this instead of putting in hours in trying to learn Twitter from bits and pieces all over the internet. Your video still gives me a lot of great info! Thanks for that.

And it’s really neat hearing your voice to connect to your photo & name!

Keep up all the great work you do. You are a gem!

    Cheers!

This is a great resource. It’s going right into my toolkit when I talk to businesses and individuals about using twitter.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Kim. For now – I’m happy just to be able to help people.

Not downloadable – it’s a link to MyBrainshark.com. But it should work just like YouTube πŸ™‚
