If you’re looking for a job, post here

I thought I would try a little experiment with this here blog. I know way a lot of great people who are looking for jobs, and while I try to pass things on to them or try to pass them on to other people on Twitter or on Facebook, those messages tend to drift away on the endless sea of updates that those 2 platforms represent.

My blog posts, on the other hand, remain rather easy to find for at least a few minutes longer.

So, I’m going to use this blog post to invite you to comment if you are looking for a job. List what your skills and talents are. Make your elevator pitch. Hopefully, people who have openings will start visiting this post and ideally, the right person will find you here.

Social Media, it is often said, is all about serendipity. However, serendipity needs a stage or a platform on which to set. Let’s see if this post can become a stage for job-finding serendipity.

Post away, and best of luck!

I am a SEO Copywriter who has been writing online since 2010 professionally. SEO is more than just words on a page, it is a mentality that puts the reader first and aims to make personal contact. Ultimately I feel that any piece of copy must connect with the readers experience.

I am currently looking to work with agencies as a contract copywriter and move into full-time work. My primary experience is writing blogs for trending news. I have a good understanding of how to develop a content strategy and use social media to promote my work. I have also designed and written landing pages for small business clients.

Thank you Margie for this opportunity!

I’m Matt, I’m a a current Graphic Designer and University of Delaware student looking for some work! I’m a creative guy who has had a passion for graphic design since age 11. I veered off that career path when going away to college but I have rediscovered my passion and I am motivated to prove to myself and the rest of the world that this is what I was meant to do. I’m a firm believer that you should love what you do; if you pursue your true passion in life and want it badly enough, everything else will fall into place. Graphic design is my passion and I’m determined to be the best I can at it.

For the past 2 years, I’ve worked in SEO/SEM as a campaign consultant. I’ve essentially paid very detailed attention to hundreds of campaigns on our platform and created strategies to make sure that the campaign succeeds not only in page position, but by converting the visits they receive into actual sales. My background lies in the areas of Journalism, Public Relations and Communication. I’m looking to break deeper into the public relations field and utilize my skills in public speaking. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, networking with different people and most of all, music! I’d be a prime candidate for anyone that wants to have a die-hard energetic candidate with an uncanny ability to interact with others. Please see my linkedin profile for more: http://www.linkedin.com/in/cgolsto

Hi Margie! Thanks for the opportunity. I’ve moved on from a high-level administrative position and am looking to focus on project-based copywriting (both technical and creative), project management, branding and marketing. I’m a crack researcher and editor, a fact-finder and a top notch bio-writer. People with online catalogs, companies with website rebranding projects where descriptions need fresh updating, or burgeoning new businesses looking to find their voice need me. I’ve also played the role of personal assistant for the day, finding those places in your organization that need attention or streamlining. I’ve worn lots of hats in a variety of industries and am ready to share that expertise with those who need it.

(2) You might want to think about making this post a part of your navigation, so that your regular and new readers can easily find this page to search for work or workers!

Hello! My name is Kimi Wilson and I am looking for a job – whether it be contract, part time or full time work. Please feel free to check out my website at http://www.TheAlluringArtist.com for more information as my portfolio! 🙂

A little about me… I have been working from home for many years now and find enjoyment in it. I’m well-focused, hard working and detailed. I work well within specified time frames and enjoy challenges. I have managed my own successful internet based businesses in the past and believe I have all of the skills required to bring that type of success to your business.

I’m an avid blogger and have written or guest posted on a variety of blogs ranging in topics from Relationships & Dating to home decor, Virtual Worlds and Gossip. Writing is the third love of my life… behind my daughter and drawing graphics.

A little about my work… The Alluring Artist is a self-owned company established in 2010. This company encompasses all that I offer as a web enthusiast including but not limited to logo design, web design, branding, social media establishment and even print design. I have six years of experience in graphic design and am an intermediate to advanced user of social media sites such as Twitter, Plurk, Facebook and Flickr.

In addition to my resourcefulness with the listed marketing aspects, I cater to those seeking a more user friendly corporate or personal website by utilizing my knowledge of the WordPress software. In addition to performing starter services such as WordPress installations, I have advanced knowledge of the software and teach others how to use it including actions such as post creation basics (including basic HTML markups), creating pages and installing & configuring themes and plugins.

Hi Everyone, my name is Dani and I am recently graduated from the University of Toledo where I obtained a B.A in Communication with an emphasis in PR/Marketing. My passion stemmed from an Intro to Marketing class offered in H.S, but that was during the early years of social media so I am looking for a position that would help me combine traditional with digital. I am a constant learner and love having the ability to work with others on different types of projects. If anyone knows of anything in NW Ohio or SE Michigan please let me know via LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/in/daniraymond).

I want to take the time to thank @margieclayman again for this awesome opportunity. I wanted to make sure we could keep in touch and support each other. I created a twitter list of people who have commented that they are looking for work or have positions open.

    https://twitter.com/#!/list/Susan_Silver/for-hire

If you don’t see your account send me a tweet susan_silver and I will add you.

If you want to send me a 140char pitch with a link to your portfolio I will share them on Twitter. I don’t mind sending a tweet or two every day to help support everyone’s job search. It only has a slim chance of working, but I like those odds and it is a good way to introduce you to my network.

If you’re licensed in another state which has licensing requirements about the same as Michigan, you can qualify to take the exam. Also if you don’t fulfill these requirements you can still present evidence of your experience to the Board and possibly get permission to take the exam.
